Gun Club will replace failing septic system
The Gillette Gun Club needs to replace its septic system because both its septic tank and leach field are out of commission.
“They’re in a bit of a crunch as the two systems we have identified have entirely failed,” City Administrator Carter Napier told the City Council this week. “Given that they do have residents out there, they do need to act rather hastily,”
Typically, septic systems aren’t allowed within city limits, but the closest sanitary sewer that the gun club has access to is too far away to tag into. So the City Council on Monday approved the gun club to just replace the failed system with one like that had before.
Now that it has been approved, the project will begin soon.
