CHEYENNE - A groundbreaking ceremony is planned Wednesday for a gas-fired power plant on the outskirts of Cheyenne.

Black Hills Corp. subsidiaries Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power and Black Hills Power are developing the Cheyenne Prairie Generating Station.

Construction on the power plant began this spring and is expected to wrap up next year. The $237 million plant will employ up to a dozen people when built.
