CCMH trustees ask for easement on park land

The design for Campbell County Memorial Hospital's new long-term care facility will require slightly more property than was originally anticipated, prompting a re-zoning request so that a 10,115-square-foot slice of county land can be incorporated into the site next to Lasting Legacy Park.

CCMH spokeswoman Karen Clarke said the slice of land was somehow missed in the original $2 million purchase of 8.87 acres from the county, which included the old recreation center, the skate park, a storage shed and just under 3 acres of land from Lasting Legacy Park.
