Confused about the budget? City wants to bust some myths

City touts a balanced, responsible budget that covers services for its citizens

The city of Gillette proposes to spend $197 million in the coming budget — about $10 million less than last year, but still no small potatoes.

But as City Council members began sifting through the budget this week, City Administrator Carter Napier wanted to clear up some myths he’s heard around town about the city and its spending.
