There is now a new way to monitor surgery patients at the hospital

Posted: Thursday, January 31, 2013 12:00 am | Updated: 1:11 pm, Tue Nov 5, 2013.

Family and friends of patients undergoing surgery at Campbell County Memorial Hospital can now track the progress of their loved ones as they move from pre-operation into surgery and out into recovery, thanks to new technology installed last week.

The visible portion of the technological upgrade is a large TV monitor mounted on the wall of the waiting area outside the surgical services department next to the cafe. Purple numbers run down the left side of the screen, and information like patient location, time and operating physician follow on the right.
