Be more careful at train crossings

Friday at about 3:30 p.m., a red car was sitting on the tracks at Brooks, stuck in traffic with cars ahead and behind and nowhere to go. A loaded coal train was coming down the track heading west. The engineer of the train later told me that the plan was to change out crews at the depot. Due to good vigilance of the train crew, with a car on the tracks, they altered their plan and stopped at Brooks.

The next time the driver might not be so lucky. A few things to consider when driving across Brooks and Garner Lake Road:
