Dwight Anderson scored 21 points and Myles Henry finished with 15 to lead Gillette College past Dawson Community College 61-41 Saturday night in Glendive, Mont., in Region IX North Conference men’s basketball action.

The Pronghorns (12-10 overall, 6-4 Region IX North Conference) held Dawson to just 19 first-half points and snapped a three-game losing streak.

“Any 20-point win on the road is a good win,” Pronghorn coach Shawn Neary said.

Eric Wise finished with six points and 13 rebounds.

Dawson Community College (4-18, 1-10) was led by Rico Booth and Yak Brunson, who had 10 apiece.

Pronghorn women win 20th game

In women’s action, the No. 13 Gillette College women defeated Dawson 58-37 for their 20th victory of the season.

For coach Will Rider, it is back-to-back 20-win seasons.

The Pronghorns improved to 20-4 overall and 7-3 in the North Conference.
