Time is running out for people who want to register to vote for the primary election.
Residents have until Aug. 6 to register to vote, which must be done at the Elections Office at the Campbell County Courthouse. After that, they can register on the election day at their polling place.
Voters who want to vote for candidates before the primary election Aug. 21 also can get absentee ballots at the courthouse.
The ballots are available until 5 p.m. the day before the election. People also can vote in advance at the Elections Office at the courthouse.
The votes will be counted if they are mailed or turned in by 7 p.m. on election day.
