Posted 10/8/12

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — The 11th Biennial Scientific Conference on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is being held this week in Mammoth Hot Springs.

Begun in 1991, the conference is designed to encourage awareness and application of wide-ranging, high-caliber scientific work on the region’s natural and cultural resources.

A wide ranging group of scientists, managers, and other decision makers will present current scientific findings and examine resource challenges in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis is among the speakers.

The conference runs from Monday evening through Wednesday.
