The First United Methodist Church will host a car and tractor show Saturday to raise money for new playground equipment.
The church hopes to raise about $20,000, which will cover the cost of the new play set and the surfacing of the playground, said organizer Meghan Davies.
The car and tractor show is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include a silent auction, and hamburgers and hot dogs. A 1960 Cadillac Deville sedan will be among the items auctioned off, along with a set of Mustang rims and tools.
Entries for the car and tractor show will be taken through Saturday morning The show also will include motorcycles.
The entry fee is $10 per vehicle for the first two, and $5 for each additional vehicle. A People’s Choice Award will be awarded in each category. Entry forms can be emailed or dropped off at the church office.
Admission fee for spectators and a donation of non-perishable food or pet food for the food pantry.

The church also plan a fundraising rummage sale July 13 and 14 in Gillette, with proceeds to go to the playground equipment. Organizers will take donations, Davies added.
