Challenged book to be shown as free movie at library

The Campbell County Public Library’s Read It-Watch It event this month will involve the book, “The Lovely Bones” by Alice Sebold.
The book was challenged in 2007 and 2008 and is being featured during the Celebrate Banned Books Week event in Gillette.
The movie based on the book will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the library for anyone interested. You must be at least 18 years old.
The event is free and is paid for with a grant from the Campbell County Community Public Recreation District.
The 30th annual Banned Books Week takes place from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6 at the library. The theme this year is: “Freadom, Celebrate the Right to Read.”
