CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A Cheyenne man faces murder charges as authorities try to piece together a violent encounter at his mobile home last weekend.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that 28-year-old Brian M. Sears is charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He's accused of killing 22-year-old Connor Tarr of Cheyenne early Sunday.
Another man was shot that night but survives. Police say Sears shot Cameron Scott as Scott fled in a car. Sears was hospitalized with stab wounds.
Laramie County authorities say the violent encounter may have happened during a marijuana deal. Sears was due in court Tuesday morning and faced at least 20 years in jail if convicted.
