LARAMIE — Wyoming football fans are gearing up for Saturday’s home opener at War Memorial Stadium.
The Cowboys host Toledo in a game scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m.
Wyoming (0-1) is coming off a 37-17 road loss at Texas last weekend. Toledo (0-1) also lost its first game 24-17 in overtime at Arizona.
Wyoming and Toledo will meet for only the second time. The Cowboys won the first meeting at Toledo in 2010.
UW head coach Dave Christensen was an assistant coach at Toledo from 1992-2000.
Wyoming will be marking its 116th home opener. In their previous 115 home openers, the Pokes have a record of 78 wins, 34 losses and three ties. Wyoming has won nine consecutive home openers dating back to the 2003 season.
