Denver eatery draws anger over Romney refusal

DENVER — The owners of a Denver restaurant have been getting death threats and angry phone calls and emails after they say they turned down a campaign visit by Mitt Romney.
Oscar Aguirre owns Rosa Linda’s Mexican Cafe with his parents. They starting getting angry messages after Westword reported their decision Tuesday, after Romney had lunch at a Chipotle.
In August, Aguirre says a Romney supporter requested bringing the GOP candidate to the restaurant partly because his parents are Mormon but they refused. He says they’re not Republicans or Democrats, would welcome a sitting president but don’t want to be a campaign stopping place.
