Funeral services for Edward Bernie Sansoucie will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Gorman Funeral Homes — Converse Chapel in Douglas with the Rev. Tom Strock of First Baptist Church in Lusk officiating.

Mr. Sansoucie, 72, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at his home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

He was born in Old Mines, Mo., to Bernie and Deloris Sancoucie. When he was 19, he moved to California, where met and married Nona Jean Swenson. They later divorced. From this union, four children were born; Jeff, Mark, Bernie and Katie.

Mr. Sansoucie was employed with Exxon and Peabody Coal in Gillette for more than 30 years. After retiring, he spent his summers in Douglas and winters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

He took pride in fixing up his homes in Douglas and Lake Havasu City. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sitting in the sun sipping an ice cold beer. He always had a smile on his face and those he cared most about knew what a kind and gracious man he always was. Anyone who met him for even a minute instantly adored him and knew he was always the life of the party.

Mr. Sansoucie’s love for his grandchildren was obvious and he was a very proud grandfather. He completely adored each grandchild and loved spending time with them.

He is survived by his children Jeff Sansoucie, Mark Sansoucie and Bernie Sansoucie all of Casper, and Katie Chase of Douglas; nine grandchildren; and siblings; Bill Sansoucie of Arkansas, Lindle Sanscoucie of Casper and Debbie Phipps, Sue Rundle and Garlyn Kirby all of Missouri.

Mr. Sansoucie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Sansoucie.
