Feds open Wind River sex offender office

LANDER — The federal government has opened a new office for the registration of sex offenders on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Christopher Crofts is U.S. Attorney for Wyoming. He says the Wind River Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act office began conducting registrations on Aug. 17 in Ethete.

Crofts said that both the Northern Arapaho Tribe and the Eastern Shoshone Tribe have agreed to allow information sharing with the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry.
