GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Officials have closed a road in northwestern Wyoming after crowds of people gathered just feet away from grizzly bears.
Grand Teton National Park announced that the road between Moose and Wilson was closed at 11 a.m. Thursday and will remain closed for 48 hours. It may be closed again if the bears remain in the area.
Park officials report that people congregated just feet away from foraging grizzlies and black bears. One or more grizzlies charged onlookers as well as to two parked vehicles.
