Forest Service plans burn near Tensleep

SHERIDAN — Firefighters with the U.S. Forest Service plan to conduct a prescribed burn on Friday about one mile west of U.S. Highway 16 in Tensleep Canyon, on the western slope of the Big Horn Mountains.
The agency intends the burn to improve wildlife habitat, reduce fuels, and increase forage on about 225 acres of sagebrush.
