RIVERTON — A former star athlete from Riverton has been killed in a rollover accident.
The Riverton Ranger reported that 25-year-old Shawn Brogdon died in the wreck Saturday near Riverton while returning from an early morning hunting trip. His father, Jerry Brogdon, was injured in the crash and airlifted to Casper for treatment.
Shawn Brogdon played football, baseball and participated in track and field at Riverton High School, graduating in 2005.
He earned first-team all-state honors during Riverton’s memorable 8-2 football season in 2004. He also anchored Riverton’s 4x100-meter relay team at the class 4-A state championships in his sophomore year.
The crash is under investigation.
