CASPER — The unsuccessful Democratic candidate for Wyoming’s lone U.S. House seat is looking for a job.
Chris Henrichsen says his teaching contract was not renewed at Casper College, where he was a political science instructor.
Henrichsen lost last month’s general election to Republican Rep. Cynthia Lummis.
In a Twitter post, Henrichsen initially speculated his political activities led to his contract not getting renewed but in an interview with the Casper Star-Tribune (http://bit.ly/VsgoDC ) he declined to elaborate.
Casper College spokesman Rich Fujita says the college does not discuss personnel matters.
Henrichsen says he has applied for college teaching jobs elsewhere and is in the process of starting up a nonprofit group to deal with issues related to politics in the West.
