Gillette is all set for the air show Sunday at the Cassidy airport. It commences at 1:30 o’clock and throngs of people are expected to witness the aerial events. Six ships will participate with trained fliers of man hours of experience as pilots. Many of the spectacular events of the Black Hills air fair will be repeated to thrill the crowds here. The admission is 25 cents with children under 12 years of age free.

Francis Donegn, president, has called a special meeting of the Gillette Saddle Club for Aug. 11 at 8 p.m. at the library auditorium. Plans for the county fair rodeo will be discussed. All members, including former rodeo workers, and others interested, are urged to be present.

Florence McCleland won first place in first flight at the Newcastle Invitational Golf Tournament there August 8. Mary McKee won third place in championship flight at the 18-hole tournament. Other Gillette women who participated in the meet were Loree Cates. Della Ballard and Gloria Burke.

Businessmen are reminded that the annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast will be Aug. 28 at 7:15 a.m. at the High School Commons Area. The breakfast is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce to welcome returning and new faculty members to Gillette. Any Gillette business is welcome to participate and are invited to sponsor a teacher for breakfast. Tickets are still available at $2.50 per person or $7 for three tickets.
