Sheriff Roy Hardy returned home Sunday evening from Buffalo Gap, S.D., where he went in response to a telegram announcing that the Jack Hunter cattle had been located. Roy says the entire 41 head were found, the brand FLA (open A) had been neatly worked over to ELN, but no owner of such a brand could be found or heard of and that Jack was taking the cattle back home. The next chapter of the story has not been written, but the Record hopes that it soon will be and the guilty parties brought speedily before the court of justice.

Mr. and Mrs. Harve Swartz, Sheriff and Mrs. Tex Martin have returned from Miles City, Mont., where they attended the Range Riders reunion held July 28 and 29. Old timers from throughout the United States and Canada attended, the meeting being carried out according to early Western traditions. They were guests during their stay in Miles City of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Scanlan. Mr. and Mrs. Swartz continued their trip to western Montana, the Black Hills and Nebraska.

Mrs. Edna Applegate of Newcastle HDA for Weston County, will serve as judge at the 4-H Food Style show scheduled to be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at the home economics room at Campbell County High School, beginning at 1 p.m. In making the announcement, Mrs. Mary Rose Dorn stated the girls will be judged on four points: You (your grooming, conversation, poise, etc.) and Table Setting (eye appeal, appropriateness of menu for the occasion, etc.). Girls will stand beside their table and will be asked to discuss with Mrs. Applegate the reason for selecting the particular menu and food, and will serve to the judge a sample of the food they have prepared.
