McAnny’s bowling alleys were reopened on last Tuesday night after being closed during the summer months. Both alleys have been sanded and shellacked and more room for spectators provided. Bill George, who was in charge of the alleys last season, is again filling that position.

The first pair of twins born at Campbell County hospital since it was opened in 1952 were announced by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Moore of Gillette on Thursday, Oct. 14. Members of the hospital staff joined the parents in marking the occasion of the birth of the twin baby girls. Sharon Lynn weighed 5 pounds and 103⁄4 ounces and Sheryl Lee weighed 6 pounds and 71⁄2 ounces. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Hubbard of Laramie and the paternal grandparents are D.B. Moore and Mrs. William Wintermute. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Fordyce of this city.

Michal Duncan, 6, and his 9-year-old brother will have their work cut out for them when they begin carving their Halloween pumpkins this year. The mammoth vegetables, one weighing 102 pounds and the other 100 pounds, were grown by their parents, Jim Crowe and Debbie Duncan. This was the first year the family had attempted to grow pumpkins, and they said lots of water did the trick.
