A 13-year-old runaway was found at about 5 p.m. Friday.
Police officers tracked down Kyra Stoner, who is now with her mother, Police Chief Jim Hloucal said.
Stoner ran away from her grandmother’s house after an argument at about 8 p.m. Wednesday.
I'm disappointed that it took 2 days for a news outlet to inform the community of a missing child. I understand amber alerts are supposed to be used in abduction cases only, but something similar should be made to help locate other children as well. The faster people know someone is missing, the faster the word spreads, and hopefully the faster the person is found. Praying she is found safe! Friday, July 27, 2012|Report this
Very disappointed they had faster information out with this Ruth woman and she was a grown woman vs this 13 year old girl. Very sad think you need to put the children at a high rank then adults who know what they are doing. Friday, July 27, 2012|Report this
This girls picture was plastered all over facebook by "Thursday morning".. people who didn't even know her was passing on this missing persons information on their own personal facebook pages.. including myself and several family memebers! Thousands of people in this community were aware of her missing by Thursday morning.. just hours after she "ran away" My family and friends in MI knew she was missing by Thursday Morning.. I know not everyone has a facebook page.. BUT people did know about it.. I'm just sayin... :) Friday, July 27, 2012|Report this
I suspect the police knew from the beginning no foul play was involved here, as I read earlier its not the first she has 'run away' just sayin

Horrible things happen to "run away' teenagers all the time. Some never make it home. Let's be thankful that she wasn't one of those statistics and her family has her back safe and alive. Friday, July 27, 2012|Report this
