CHEYENNE, — A Wyoming Army National Guard unit is preparing for a mobilization to assist with security forces missions in Bahrain next year.
The 133rd Engineer Company is based out of the Laramie armory. It will report to Camp Shelby, Miss., for training prior to deployment in April 2013.
Guard Mobilization Officer Maj. Dean Hunhoff says the deployment order calls for 162 soldiers to be on federal active duty orders for 400 days.
The period of active duty can be extended, based on the U.S. Army’s requirements.
The unit previously deployed in 2004 for an engineer support mission in Iraq.
