JACKSON, Wyo. — A Denver firm hired to market Jackson Hole to tourists this winter is running a $700,000 ad campaign with the message that there's more than skiing at the Wyoming attraction.
The campaign, developed by Cactus Communications, calls out a host of activities and attractions, including snowshoeing, dogsledding, wild life tours, restaurants, spas, nightlife and other entertainment, along with Jackson's winter standbys: skiing and snowboarding.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (http://bit.ly/SwuabB) that many of the advertisements still feature skiing and snowboarding images and there likely will be advertising marketing any big snow storms the valley might get.
Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board Chairman Stephen Price says the campaign offers a broader message about winter in Jackson that the board wanted to emphasize.
