James Elmon Webb Sr., 79, of Elizabethtown, Ky., died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the Robley Rex Veterans Admini-stration Medical Center in Louisville, Ky.
A former Gillette resident, Mr. Webb was a native of Ermine, Ky., and a member of Bible Baptist Church in Radcliff, Ky.
He retired after 20 years from the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired from Kerr McGee Coal Corp. in Gillette.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ester Norlin Webb; two sons, James E. Webb Jr. of Gillette and Paul J. Webb of Surprise, Ariz.; two daughters, Vonda F. Webb of Elizabethtown and Marinda L. Ireland of Nashville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church in Radcliff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardin Christian Academy, 156 Shelby Ave., Radcliff, KY 40160.
