James “Jim” H. Brown, 63 of Carlile died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at his home of unknown causes.

Memorial services will be at 11a.m. Tuesday at the Old High School Gym in Sundance. For those who cannot attend, there will be a memorial in the spring with inurnment at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, S.D.

Grateful to have shared in his life are his partner of 24 years, Marlene Cooper of Carlile; two children, Corey Brown of Genoa City, Wis., and Molly Brown of Gillette; two grandchildren; three brothers; Robert Brown of Jamestown, N.D., Thomas Brown of Valley City, N.D., and Jeffery Brown of Jamestown, N.D.; four sisters; Pamela Brown of Boulder, Colo., Colleen Weatherly of West Fargo, N.D., Diane Klimek of El Cajon, Calif. and Amy Brown of Boulder, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance. Dearest Marlene, I am at a loss of words to express my most sincere heartfelt sadness i am feeling for you and Jim's family, so many unanswered questions for each and everyone close to him will carry for the rest of your days, so sad for the loss of Jim and only abundt love to those who are left behind, may you gather strength in each other and all the precuous time you were blessed to share with him you are a very special lady, please find comfort and peace along the way,a journey you surely never signed up for, but here you are, i pray the angels watch over you and keep you safe, Deepest saddnes and Love, may your heartbreak ease with time and knowing you are not alone.
