Memorial services for Jeff Backes will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Martin Crump of Family Life Church officiating.
Jeff S. Backes, age 41, of Aurora, Colorado formerly of Gillette, Wyoming, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at his home. Jeff Backes was born on November 20, 1971 in Gillette, Wyoming the son of Alton and Cheryl (Olivier) Backes. He was raised and educated in Gillette. Jeff graduated from Campbell County High School in 1990. Jeff was a well-mannered child to the delight of his loving parents. As a child he loved playing basketball and baseball. During high school Jeff enjoyed going hiking and camping in the Big Horn Mountains. In August 1992, Jeff married Donna K. Saizan, to this union three children were born: Devin, Scott and Nicole. They moved to Aurora, Colorado where he was president of Advance Network Solutions and a partner in E-Z Cash in Gillette. His interests were cars, computers, motorcycles and horses.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Donna Backes of Aurora, Colorado; sons: A1C Devin Backes of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Scott Backes of Aurora, Colorado; daughter, Nicole Backes of Aurora, Colorado; parents: Alton and Cheryl Backes of Gillette, Wyoming; sister, Brenda Backes and her fiancé Kyle Groves of Gillette, Wyoming; grandmother, Elaine Backes of Rapid City, South Dakota and many aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to help with his children’s college fund.
