Funeral services for Kenneth Charles Halbert, the brother of a Gillette man, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Community Baptist Church in Glenrock.
Burial will follow in Glenrock.
Mr. Halbert, 83, of Gebo, died of natural causes Monday at the Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 10, 1928, to Clara and Charles Halbert in Gebo. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge he married Jaunita (Winnie) Powers in Thermopolis, where they lived for a few years. They later moved to Glenrock where they lived at the time of his death. They have been married for 57 years.
Mr. Halbert worked at the Dave Johnston power plant as an operator and later a supervisor until he retired. He loved to spend time with his family and had a great love of history. He also liked to spend time in the Big Horns with his family and loved his many pets that he owned over the years.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters; two brothers, including, Robert “Skip” Halbert of Gillette; four grandchildren and four nieces.
Mr. Halbert was preceded in death by his parents, numerous aunts and uncles and a daughter.
Memorials to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; and the Glenrock Police Benevolent Fund may be made in his name. Bustard’s Funeral Home in Casper is in charge of the arrangements.
