Lisa Lynn Christensen

Posted 2/11/13

Memorial services for Lisa Christensen, age 42, of Gillette will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb.13, 2013, at Walker Funeral Home with Susan Christensen officiating. Interment will be in Sioux Falls, S.D. at a later date.

Lisa died unexpectedly at her home on Feb. 8, 2013.

Lisa Lynn Christensen was born Aug. 10, 1970, in Pipestone, Minn., the daughter of Ronald and Bonita (O’Brian) Christensen. Lisa was a devoted, loving partner to her soulmate of 22 years, Steve Jacob and an amazing mother to Jace. Together the family made their home in Gillette.

Lisa loved her candles, crafts and taking pictures. She was the #1 fan of the Gillette Camels Wrestling and Football teams and was a second mom to most of the boys. Lisa loved helping others and usually put herself second. She never showed up at someone’s home without a thoughtful little gift.

Lisa was taken away too soon and will be horribly missed by the many people whose lives she touched and loved her dearly.

Lisa is survived by her partner, Steve Jacob, and her son, Jace Jacob, of Gillette; mother, Bonnie O’Brian of Trent, S.D.; father, Ron Christensen of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sister, Laurie Christensen of Canton, S.D.; her in-laws, Paul and Brenda Jacob and their daughters, Tonda Ellis and Samantha Jacob of Sheridan, Wyoming; Corey Christensen and Kelly Irvin of Sioux Falls, S.D. and all her precious nieces and nephews, Morgan, Zane, Ryker, Cadence, Chandler, Lily and Arial; and many members of her extended family both in the family and in the community. She is preceded in death by her younger brother, Jason.

Those attending are encouraged to wear Camel purple and gold attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Lisa’s name to benefit her son Jace. Memorials and donations for the Jace Jacobs Memorial Fund can be sent in care of Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wy 82716. Condolences can also be sent via the internet at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com.
