Man pleads guilty to Verizon store threat

Posted 9/26/12

CASPER, Wyo. — A man accused of threatening employees at a Verizon store has pleaded guilty.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/Qa991V) that 37 -year-old Robbey Swank pleaded guilty Tuesday to making terroristic threats.

Swank won't face prison time as part of a plea deal. Sentencing will be at a later date.

Authorities say Swank told a customer service representative Aug. 17 that he was "loading his pistol and going down to the store" when he learned part of his deposit had been applied to a late payment. Swank went to the store and yelled obscenities and said if he had a gun he would use it.

Swank left and the store closed for part of the day.
