The families of three people killed in an airplane crash Nov. 25 in the Utah mountains have announced that a memorial service for the trio will take place Saturday in Gillette.
Services for Shyann Lenz, 9, Trista Meyer, 34, and Matt Ahrens, 37, will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Two services and burial ceremonies for Shyann and her mother already have taken place in South Dakota.
A memorial service for Ahrens has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 22 in his hometown of Bakersfield, Calif.
The three Gillette residents were killed when Ahrens’ 1982 Piper airplane crashed shortly after stopping for fuel in Fillmore, Utah. They were returning to Gillette after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with family in California.
