SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah — Authorities say a man was taken to the hospital after running naked through parts of South Salt Lake and being tackled to the ground by police.
Police say they were called about 6 p.m. Sunday after the man was seen near 3100 S. West Temple. Officials tell The Salt Lake Tribune he was seen scaling a cinder block wall at a bus station and possibly cut himself on the barbed wire on top.
The Deseret News reports police used a Taser to subdue the man.
South Salt Lake police Sgt. Mick Wersland says the man may have been taking hallucinogenic mushrooms, which can make a person feel hot and prompt them to take off their clothes.
It wasn't immediately clear if the man would face charges.
