Norma Earlen Peck

Memorial services for Norma Earlen Peck will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Family Life Church with the Rev. Martin Crump, the Rev. Bill Morel and the Rev. Hilbert officiating.

Mrs. Peck, 70, of Gillette, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

She was born in Fresno, Calif., on June 20, 1942, the daughter of Earl and Verna (Basinger) Reeves. She grew up and attended school in California.

She married Larry Peck on Nov. 12, 1958, in Winters, Calif. Right after being married he was transferred to Yuma Marine Corps Air Facility and there they started their family.

In 1964, she and their two children, David and Deborah, moved to Greeley, Colo., while Mr. Peck was sent overseas for eight months. After he was discharged from the United States Marine Corps, they had their third child, Daniel.

The couple moved between Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming for a time.

She loved being a homemaker and raising her family. After living in California for several years, the couple moved back to Wyoming to be near their children.

She always had a blast going to the Dollar Store. She loved animals and painting. She loved spending time with and watching her grandchildren.

Mrs. Peck is survived by her husband, Larry Peck of Gillette; children, David Peck, Deborah Johnson and Daniel Peck, all of Gillette; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Jones of Redding, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
