Norma J. Drovdal

Norma J. Drovdal, 81, of Wiggins, Colo., died Sept. 14, 2012, in her daughter, Linda’s care at the Tribute Homes Assisted Living facility.

Mrs. Drovdal was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Harrison, S.D., to Ira and Sarah DeHaai.

Norma married Norris A. Drovdal on Feb. 15, 1950, in Watertown, S.D.

Mrs. Drovdal was raised in South Dakota, lived in Gillette over 50 years and then moved to Fort Collins in 2007.

She was very active in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, serving as president of LWML many years and quilting with the Ruth Circle.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Hood (Larry) of Fort Collins, Colo., Douglas Drovdal of Eaton, Colo., Paul Drovdal (Len) of Greeley, Colo., Linda Allen (Neil) of Orchard, Colo., Kari Knight (Smokey) of Fort Collins, Peggy Drovdal of Littleton, Colo., and Bryce Drovdal (Lisa) of Fort Collins; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Norma in death are her parents, Ira and Sarah, husband, Norris, daughter-in-law, Janice Drovdal and sister, Maryellen Stoddard.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1001 E. 9th St. on Thursday at 1 p.m.

Private inurnment will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette.
