The 30th annual Northeast Wyoming Quilt Show will take place the first week of October in Gillette.
The show will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 6 and from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Cam-plex Energy Hall.
Those wishing to have a quilt or other quilted items displayed for the show can bring them to Energy Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
The quilts won’t be judged, but a People’s Choice Award will be given in each of the eight divisions.
The event also will include a new display this year, “Then and Now,” which will feature a quilter’s first project and the most recent quilt that quilter made.
A project from the Wyoming State Quilt Guild called “Party Line” also will be displayed.
A Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt will be raffled Oct. 7. Tickets are being sold for $1 each or six for $5. The quilt is a project by the group of women who make up the Quilt Show Board to help pay for the show each year.
Door prizes also will be given out throughout the show and several vendors will sell fabric, sewing machines, patterns and more.
