MISSOULA — Missoula police say a 51-year-old man died while attempting to burglarize his upstairs neighbor’s apartment.
Lt. Scott Brodie said the man lived with roommates in a basement apartment of a house.
Brodie says the man tried to get into the house’s first-floor apartment Saturday by crawling through a window.
But the man, whom police did not identify, became trapped.
A resident in the upstairs apartment called 911 after arriving home that afternoon and reported someone was attempting to break in. He called back before police arrived and said the man appeared to be dead.
Brodie says the man appears to have had a heart attack.
