Program to help female engineers

RAPID CITY — A new program at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology aims to help female engineers.
The women’s mentoring program works with students in the mechanical engineering department. A record number of 41 women are enrolled in the department this semester.
While the female enrollment has been slowly climbing, officials say they are worried about retaining those students.
