Richard Lyle Pfander

Richard Lyle Pfander, 70, of Gillette, son of Lyle and Virginia Pfander was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on Jan. 7, 1942. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at a specialty hospital in Provo, Utah.

Richard served his country by joining the army, but most of his adult life was working in the Western State’s oil fields, ending his career in Wyoming.

He loved fishing, hunting and spent much of his time being out of doors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle, grandparents, and many other relatives.

He is survived by a son, Roy (Janeice) and grandchildren, Hayden, Chance, Cord and Callie of Green River, Utah; his mother, Virginia; sister, Audrey (Shell); brother, Milo (Gwen) and niece Kimberly and nephew, Mike; sister, Rosemary (John) and niece, Shawn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves behind not only his family to cherish his memory, but also his employer and his many wonderful friends.

Memorial services were held Sept. 22 at Faith Bible Church in Colorado Springs, Colo.
