Memorial services for Roger Bishop will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, with Kenna Lou Rose officiating.

Roger Clive Bishop, 76, of Gillette, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at his second home in Story after a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Bishop was born April 3, 1936, in Boulder, Colo., the son of Frances and Oren Bishop.

He married Jeannette Dodd Bishop on Sept. 22, 1963 in Boulder.

In 1978, Mr. Bishop and his wife moved to Gillette, where Mr. Bishop was bank president of First Wyoming Bank and later owned Bishop Auto.

He enjoyed spending time with his family at his cabin in Story. He loved to watch the Broncos, Nuggets and boxing. He always enjoyed his spirited debates with his sons. His hobby was collecting cars and fly fishing at his cabin.

Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeannette Bishop; his two son’s Curt of Longmont, Colo., and Mike of Gillette; his sister, Vonnie Ewan of Boulder, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
