Rollover after Utah rock concert kills man

Posted 12/3/12

SALT LAKE CITY — A single-vehicle rollover in Salt Lake County left one man dead and another in jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The Utah Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Joshua Wallace of West Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene of the late Saturday night accident.

Troopers say he was a passenger in a car en route to Salt Lake City after a Megadeth concert at Saltair when the driver lost control on a curve on State Route 202 and crashed.

Wallace was not restrained and was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers say the driver, 28-year-old Jacob Jensen, of Boulder, Wyo., was booked early Sunday into the county jail for investigation of automobile homicide and driving under the influence.

He was wearing a seatbelt and was treated at the scene.
