Sheridan tourism gets new leader

SHERIDAN — A Casper native and longtime marketing professional has been chosen as the next executive director of Sheridan Travel and Tourism.
Shawn Buckley beat more than two dozen other applicants to replace Penny Becker, who recently retired as the head of the organization.
Buckley is the organization’s first new executive head in more than 13 years.
He studied sports marketing with an emphasis on business administration at Missouri Western State University. His experience includes working as the director of sales and marketing for Eastmans’ Publishing Inc. in Powell and serving as the national sales director for Brunton Outdoor Group in Riverton.
