Snake River Lodge sold to Rhode Island company

JACKSON, Wyo. — Another large Jackson area hotel is changing hands.
Jon Cohen told the Jackson Hole Daily (bit.ly/RFF7ZD) that his company bought the Snake River Lodge and Spa on Friday. He declined to discuss the sale price. County records show it was assessed at about $8.4 million last year.
Meanwhile, Snow King Resort is selling its lodging operations to a California company, JMI Realty.
The Snake River Lodge has 93 rooms and 43 condominiums.
It’s the first venture in the West for The Newport Hotel Group, run by Cohen and his brother. The Rhode Island-based company also has hotels in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and in Newport, R.I.
