MITCHELL — Authorities say at least 14 people were involved in a New Year’s brawl outside a Mitchell bar that sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries.
Davison County Chief Deputy Steve Brink tells The Daily Republic newspaper that the fight early on New Year’s Day started inside the Moonlight Bar and escalated outside in an alley behind the building. He says investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened but they believe bricks were used as weapons.
The two people who were hospitalized were later released.
