Memorial services for Tamra Bennett will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. at Gillette Memorial Chapel, Gillette, Wyo., with Bill Koester officiating.

Tamra Kay Bennett, age 43, of Gillette died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at her home in Gillette.

Tamra was born March 9, 1969, in Kemmerer, Wyo., the daughter of Naylin and Joyce (Chamberlain) Daniels. She was raised and attended school in Big Piney, Wyo., and graduated from Big Piney High School. In high school, Tamra was captain of the swim team and also the Honor Queen of the Jobe’s Daughter youth group. After high school, she lived in Hawaii for a while before moving to Rock Springs, Wyo., in 1992 where she met her husband, Perry Bennett. The couple was married Nov. 28, 1992. They moved to Gillette in 1993, and together the couple raised three children.

Tamra held various jobs including managing properties for Dick Mader’s Real Estate office and most recently working in the lunchroom at Rozet Elementary School, but she considered mother and homemaker to be her true career. Tamra enjoyed scrapbooking, watching her two sons race at Gillette Thunder Speedway and she also enjoyed snowmobiling, especially in the Bear Lodge area in the Big Horn Mountains.

Tamra is survived by her husband, Perry Bennett; sons Clay Bennett and Austin Bennett, both of Gillette, Wyo.; daughter, Tayleen Bennett of Gillette, Wyo.; brothers David Daniels of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tom Daniels of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ted Daniels of Casper, Wyo.; and sister Debbie Preston of Casper, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
