The National Weather Service has issued two severe thunderstorm warnings for Campbell County through 4:15 p.m. Monday.
One is in northern Campbell County near Recluse and Weston. The other is headed toward Wright.
Both storms could produce quarter-sized hail and winds in excess of 70 mph, said Jenn Bardalamas, a Weather Service meteorologist based in Rapid City.
There is a slight risk of tornadoes in the area too.
“There was a funnel cloud spotted 25 miles southwest of Wright,” Bardalamas said.
The thunderstorm warnings are expected to last until 4:15 p.m.
In Gillette, “it looks like there’s another little cell that will go over there,” Bardalamas said. That system could produce rain and wind.
