Va. man pleads guilty in death of SD airman

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Virginia man accused in the death of an Ellsworth airman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
KOTA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/Psonz9) that 24-year-old Marcus Wingate acknowledged shooting 22-year-old Richard Redick as part of a plea agreement. Wingate was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the manslaughter charge with two years suspended.
Redick was on leave from Ellsworth Air Force Base when police say he got into an argument with Wingate and was shot at an apartment complex in Hampton, Va.
