Westover Road reopens

Westover Road at Skyline Drive — which has been closed for more than a week due to a water main break — re-opened at 3p.m. Monday, city spokesman Joe Lunne said.
The break, under a section of the road in front of Whites Frontier Motors, caused crews to dig open a significant portion of the roadway to access the broken pipe.
Westover Road between Burma Avenue and Metz Drive still is closed for excavation of rock and underground utilities as part of the city’s new Madison Pipeline project. The earliest date that section of the road will re-open is Monday, Jan. 21.
