CHEYENNE — A man who has served as the director of public works for the city of Pocatello, Idaho, has been appointed the deputy state engineer for Wyoming.
Greg Lanning’s appointment is effective Oct. 22. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master of business administration from the University of Wyoming. He has a master’s in civil engineering from Colorado State University.
Lanning replaces Harry C. LaBonde, whom Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead appointed to be the director of the state water development office after Mike Purcell retired.
